The Beginning

I think it's beautiful that the first line of the Bible is "In the beginning God created..."

This truth proves that we were all designed to create. Innovation on all levels from life, to art, engineering and agriculture involves taking the materials and gifts God has given us and using them with integrity to make the world a better place.

In every way, we are alive to bring about new life. It is so important to use our limited time here on Earth to contribute to the good, and to speak life over one another. We must draw our strength and direction from God, who gives wisdom and understanding to those who ask (James 1:5).

New life is meant to encourage, to make processes more efficient, to heal, to foster connection and community, to change circumstances...

Everything we are good or even great at, has come from God and to experience the fullness of the purpose He has placed in us, we must draw near to Him. The opportunity to create something that lasts, to inspire people, shift rooms and leave a true legacy are birthed from a pure desire for God first. Anything gained outside of this will always give us that deep rooted knowing that what I thought would fulfill me, is actually leaving me empty and searching.

So whatever passion pours out of you, whatever deep desire that seems impossible, yet you can't go a day without thinking about, pursue it with all of your heart. Humbly, know that you are better at this thing than most others for a specific purpose. God has placed this gift in your hands to be a solution to a problem many people are facing. To submit it to Him in order to know what only God can show you that will bring more love and more light into the world. He dwells in you not only to to bring light and love, but to be light and love.
