Purposed for Art
I am Naomi Ghani, a fine artist and founder of God1st Art. My work is rooted in faith, purpose, and the belief that art can serve as both a reflection of life and a vessel for spiritual connection. Through painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, digital art, illustration, mold making, and model building, I explore the relationship between creativity, identity, culture, and faith.
In 2024, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from the University of Central Florida and immediately incorporated God1st Art, establishing what I believe is not simply a business, but a lifelong calling. For more than a decade, I have intentionally developed my artistic abilities, continually refining my craft while discovering new ways to communicate ideas and experiences visually.
My artistic language is influenced by Pop Art, particularly its use of bold imagery, symbolism, recognizable cultural references, and accessible visual language. I am drawn to the way Pop Art can transform ordinary experiences and familiar imagery into opportunities for reflection and conversation. I incorporate these influences alongside elements of faith-based and contemporary Christian art, creating work that bridges cultural expression with spiritual meaning. Through this combination, I seek to make faith visually engaging, relevant, and deeply personal.
Every work begins with prayer and is often accompanied by Scripture. My creative process is an act of worship and obedience, allowing God to shape both the concept and the message behind each piece. Rather than separating my faith from my artistic practice, I view creativity itself as a gift from God and my art as a means of honoring the One who gave it to me.
My relationship with art began in childhood, when my mother encouraged me by providing drawing and painting materials. Although I always had a natural inclination toward creating, it was years later that I began to recognize painting as a gift God had intentionally placed within me. Accepting that calling required me to move beyond simply possessing a talent and begin walking in obedience to its purpose. Through uncertainty, growth, and challenges, I have continually witnessed God’s faithfulness.
God1st Art represents my legacy and my life’s work—a dedication to using creativity to spread the Gospel and point others toward God. My goal is not simply to create something visually compelling, but to create something that invites the viewer to pause, reflect, question, remember, and encounter something greater than themselves.
Ultimately, I hope my art creates a connection between the visual and the spiritual—resonating with the experiences of everyday life while inviting viewers toward a deeper understanding of God, identity, and purpose. Through every medium and every piece, I seek to communicate a simple conviction: we are created with purpose, and our gifts can become a reflection of the One who gave them to us.
